Have you ever wondered what the children of our scholarship program are up to? We would love to share with you a few of their latest activities…
50 moms and dads came to our January workshop for parents. Together they drew different trees that represented values that have played an important role through their lives. You can enjoy their lovely drawings in our library. They are all full of love, respect and honesty, among many other great qualities.
In February we had a delightful art class where children and parents participated together. They created beautiful butterflies inspired in the popular quote: “If you love something, let it go”, which in this case was applied to their relationship with their kids, to give them enough freedom and support to start taking their own steps to follow their individual paths. These butterflies were part of our 5th Children Art Festival “Gracias a la Vida”.
This last week Melissa and other volunteers of our Community Garden organized an super sweet activity with the children; they planted zucchini, watered ans wished them best for their growing process, they also tried some tomato and turnips and enjoyed an interesting lecture on how to take care of plants and how important they are in our daily lives. Some of the kids are even starting little farms in their homes!
Get involved with our scholarship program. Your support creates bright futures for children in San Pancho!
