The facility is sustainably designed using 80% recycled materials and serves as an interactive teaching center for students and visitors of all ages. Entreamigos staff practice outreach in the regional schools with custom designed interactive teaching materials.
This prestigious recognition was obtained in 2015, after undergoing an arduos process of documentation and review.
Entreamigos staff, visiting artists and local residents combine energy and commitment to create beautiful upcycled products from recycled materials such as glass, plastic, fabric and every sort of found or collected material. The final product is sold in our gallery or distributed to private hotels and boutiques.
Today, the organization collects from more than 100 bins located strategically throughout the community. Residents may also bring their glass, plastic and cardboard directly to the recycling center located at the back of the Entreamigos facility.
