Entreamigos believes in leading by example. With this as our guiding principal and education as our principal interest, every staff member of Entreamigos has their own educational goal.
Some of our staff members pursue advanced degrees, others are just learning to read and write. Some choose goals that are extra curricular like learning a new language or learning to drive but the important thing is that every member of the Entreamigos staff is actively practicing education.
All staff members have access to optional free workshops on a variety of topics. In most cases these workshops are also open to the general community.
Cambiando mi Futuro is the name given to the Adult Entrepreneur group at Entreamigos. This special group of five adults was selected for their entrepreneurial spirit, their unique talents and their economic need. Each of these adults works at Entreamigos but also participates in the Cambiando mi Futuro project. They each have chosen a new business or product and are actively working to develop it and develop themselves in order to launch their new business and take steps towards financial independence. Participants are able to spend up to 10 hours of their paid workday at Entreamigos in training classes that include:
Marketing and Design
English
Basic Computers
Web Page Design
Public Speaking
Communication Skills
Each participant also has a mentor that works with them to further develop and refine their skills or their product.
