Entreamigos strives to achieve its mission to increase learning opportunities for children and families through the implementation of educational programs based on principles of integration and collective community action. The vision of Entreamigos is to provide the children and families of San Pancho with the skills needed to contribute to their changing communities in a positive way.

Entreamigos is funded by private donations and onsite businesses. Entreamigos relies heavily on the support of volunteers. To learn more about how we started and how we function, please enjoy our website.

Mission and Values

Entreamigos is a bridge between cultures and community that creates educational opportunities for children and families in San Pancho.

Education

We believe that everyone has something to teach and much to learn. In education we strengthen our abilities and share our knowledge to walk together towards a better future.

Creativity

The liberty to create is what keeps us inspired to have fun in our everyday. It is a tool for life that enables us to transform our community with new ideas.

Love

Love is the spark that moves us and gives a special seal to everything that we do and is the spirit in which we work. With love we open doors and hearts, paint smiles and make connections. Love teaches us to give and receive and to put ourselves in the shoes of another.

Consciousness

Our commitment is to care for ourselves and others and together, the world in which we live.

We believe in a sustainable community that embraces diversity and has the skills needed to contribute in a positive way to society and the natural world.

Education

Entreamigos focuses on education in all aspects of our organization. We support learning and the development of new skills in our library, our scholarship program, our productivity workshops and our entrepreneur programs. Entreamigos also actively works in outreach to other communities in the region and as an education center for visiting schools, community leaders and tourists.

Environment

Entreamigos values the incredible bio-diversity of the region that we live and plays an active role in the stewardship of our natural resources. Through community wide recycling programs, trash managment programs, beach cleaning and tree planting projects – we support and care for our environment.

Entreamigos is committed to expanding our impact and has designed several education programs that teach sustainability and environmental stewardship to students across the region.

Community

Entreamigos commitment to the community is the foundation of all of the work that we do. We believe that a prepared community has tools to adapt to change, communicate peacefully and effectively and share resources in an equitable way. We believe that the children of our community must be the future leaders of our community and we are committed to building skills of leadership, entrepreneurship and sustainability in everything we do and everyone that we work with.
