Recicla Parque

The Recicla Parque project is one of our most innovating and exciting projects.

The RECICLA PARQUE concept is unique because it is a playspace built almost entirely from recycled materials in a ONE DAY community build event.  Glass bottles, Plastic bottles, drainage pipes, old fencing, tires, broken boats, fishing nets, bank posts, compressed earth, shopping carts, old signs and broken tiles are gathered together and given new life in the form of a safe, beautiful playgrounds for children.

Recicla Parques can be found at the elementary school in San Pancho and the kindergarten in Corral de Risco. We will be building four more parks in the Punta de Mita area in 2010.

entreamigos is actively working to improve and package the RECICLA PARQUE concept in the form of a video guide, instruction manual and motivational materials in order to be able to pass the gift of Recicla Parque to other communities.  We are looking for funding to help us, help others, create a network of Recicla Parque’s in surrounding communities.
