la posada

The annual holiday Posada is one of those moments that entreAmigos hopes to bring  the entire community together, in one place at one time, celebrating the beauty of the holidays and the luckiness that we all feel to be living (or visiting) here.  This is a festival, a celebration, a chance to learn more about entreAmigos, an opportunity to participate in an important holiday tradition…. basically, an event in San Pancho not to be missed!!

On the eve of the Posada, entreAmigos closes down the entire block between the store and the beach and fills it with festive decorations, booths, food, events and shows.  The church Carolers arrive at the “door” of the Posada and sing carols to those waiting on the other side.  At the end of the song, the Carolers are invited to come “inside” and the festivities begin.  Filled with carolers, candles, and a festive atmosphere, this is a beautiful traditional activity that takes on a special community twist on the night that entreAmigos hosts the Posada.

The dates of the Posada are determined by the schedule of the Church and their Carolers.  It is generally held around the 20th of December.
